The Shopify Rebrand was a strategic refresh designed to connect with a new generation of entrepreneurs. With nearly 50% of Gen Z entering the workforce aspiring to launch their own businesses, I saw an opportunity to evolve the brand’s visual identity to better reflect their values—creativity, independence, purpose, and trust.

Through independent research, concept development, and visual exploration, I led the rebrand from start to finish. My goal was to expand the visual system in a way that felt more inclusive, consistent, and adaptable—positioning Shopify as not only a powerful platform but also a trusted partner in every stage of the entrepreneurial journey.

The refreshed direction introduced a bolder, more expressive design language—infused with vibrant color palettes, modern typography, and flexible layouts that mirror the energy and vision of today’s creators. This work laid the foundation for a brand that doesn’t just scale—it resonates, builds trust, and empowers the next generation to follow their dreams.
